Richard Pousette-Dart Award

This annual award was established in 2022 with a multi-year gift from The Richard Pousette-Dart Foundation in memory of the artist, who was a contributor to FCA’s first benefit exhibition. Celebrating his legacy of innovation and experimentation in painting and other visual media, this $45,000 award is made annually through the Grants to Artists program to support a visual artist in honor of Pousette-Dart’s highly independent aesthetic and personal outlook.

The Richard Pousette-Dart Award is administered by a confidential nomination and selection process. Applications and unsolicited nominations are not accepted.
